About Us: atari-garage is dedicated to refurbishing and selling Atari 2600 systems, controllers, and game cartridges.  We've been refurbishing Atari consoles on and off for the past 5 years and have gotten quite good at it.  So early last year, this website was created to provide these repair and sales services for anyone who needs/wants them. Your Privacy: Short and sweet:  We will not give away any of your personal information to anyone else without getting your permission first.  When in question, your permission is assumed not given. Payment: We accept  PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, checks, and money orders as payment.   If you wish to pay using PayPal, or a Major Credit Card, please follow the checkout process. If you wish to pay by check or money order, please go all the way to checkout, and after including your address to compute taxes, and shipping, print the cart.  Please mail the printed cart, and check or money order made out to Atari Garage to: Atari Garage Attention Larry Brown 2502 Carrington Way, Frederick, MD, 21702 After sending the check and printed cart to us, please send an email to Sales to give us a heads up on what you wanted to order so we may set it aside for you and take it out of inventory.   Please understand that checks and money orders will have to clear before we send anything to you.   Taxes are only paid by those living in the state of Maryland - as that is where we reside. Shipping: We use USPS and UPS to ship.  All packages we send out are tracked and if the value is over $50.00, are insured as well.  For packages less than $50.00, insurance is the customers option. Warranty: We're strait shooters here, so if we sell you a system, game, controller, or part that is under warranty which goes bad, we'll fix it or replace it.  We've tried to keep the details to a minimum, so here they are: There are two types of warranties: 30 day warranty that is included free with all parts, controllers, games and complete Atari 2600 systems that we sell.  It also comes with all systems and controllers we repair. Extended 1 year warranty which covers systems only.  This service can only be purchased within the first 30 days you either: Purchased  your Atari 2600 system. Had your Atari 2600 system repaired by us. If you want to purchase this extended warranty while you are purchasing your system, then simply add it to your cart.  If you are having your system repaired, then we'll offer you the service before we bill you.  Otherwise, you must email us to let us know you would like to purchase the coverage.   Quick definition:  When the word component is used below, it is short for all parts, games, controllers, and full systems we sell. Except for the above two bullets, the actual coverage is the same.  All components that we sell will be free of defects at the time they were sent.  However, as most of these components are pushing 30 years old, problems may come up over time.  What we cover is the repair or replacement of any component under warranty that has failed due to normal use, or because of the time issue mentioned above - free of parts and labor charges to you.   What we do not cover is: Components which have failed due to mistreatment (dropping, kicking, spilling a coke on it, etc...). Shipping and Handling coming to Atari Garage from the customer, and/or going back to the customer - this will be the customers responsibility. Returns: Returns will only be accepted within the first 14 days after purchase.  Upon receiving the returned package, and verifying that every thing is undamaged and in good cosmetic, and working order, we will refund all funds except for the shipping and handling portion of the customers payment.   If there is damage to the part, controller, game, or system, we will asses the cost to repair and deduct this amount, along with the shipping and handling from the refund.
